In this Minecraft tutorial, you’ll learn how to use the /gamemode command.

You can change the game mode of any or all players by using the /gamemode command in Minecraft.

The /gamemode command

In Minecraft, the syntax for changing the game mode is :

The is the game mode you wish to switch to.

It can be one of the following :

• (can be abbreviated to s or 0 in the Bedrock edition) for Survival mode
• (can be abbreviated to c or 1 in the Bedrock edition) for Creative mode
• (can be abbreviated to a or 2 in the Bedrock edition) for Adventure mode
• for Spectator mode

Note that “hardcore” is not a valid option, as it is not technically a game mode.

This is the name of the player (or a target selector) you wish to change game mode to. If you don’t specify a player, the game mode will be changed for the player who executes the command.
